How To Clean Your Candle Jar

1. Oven Method

(Not for microwave oven)

Pop your candle jar in the oven at its lowest setting until any remaining wax melts. Carefully remove the jar from the oven to pour the wax into the trash, pop out the wick holder using a spoon or fork, and wipe the insides of the jar clean with a cloth. Hand wash, rinse, and dry.

2. Washing Method

First, clean as much of the wax out of the container as you can with a knife. Next, you should use hot water and soap to clean the residue. 

Warnings!

  • Don't overheat the glass
    •
  • Do not put any solid or liquid wax down the sink as this will clog your drains
    •
  • Do not use a microwave as wicks may be set with a metal clip at the bottom and can cause a fire

    •

    Now that your jar is clean, you can repurpose it in a number of ways!

  • Flower Vase

    • Reuse your candle jar as a planter for small cactus or succulents! It is great to use as a smaller vase for your workspace

  • Pencil Holder 

    • Empty candle jars make excellent pen and pencil holders.

  • Jewellery Holder
